Hi, I’m Kelly

I currently operate out of a private commercial baking kitchen in west St. Augustine, FL with local baker Emma Sterzinger of Songbird Pies. Our space serves as a work space & pickup location for pre orders. We are only open to the public for sporadic bake sales (we’re hoping to make them a regular thing though!)

When I’m not making special occasion cakes for the greater St Augustine area; I’m baking desserts, cookies, and cinnamon rolls for a few local spots in town. You can find a selection of my desserts at The Floridian in downtown St Augustine, FL ; select pastries at Buena Onda Cafe in west St. Augustine; & some really good cookies at Cookiebird Ice cream bar in uptown St. Augustine

A bit about how this all started…

Bells is a nickname that my father and close family members have always called me since I was a kid. Or Kells Bells. Bell’s Baked Stuff was born out of a pretty dark time. My father had been recently diagnosed with dementia and by default was living with my husband and I. I felt so lost, scared, sad, angry, and isolated being thrown into care taking— and then Covid happened. Prior to that, I’d been baking desserts full time at The Floridian (STA FL) for several years. During the pandemic, my hours at the restaurant diminished and I found myself with a lot of time at home needing some sort of creative outlet. I started baking whatever I wanted and posting on instagram. Then I started baking for friends, and then friends of friends. And then I started getting repeat customers. It truly just took off. What began as something I needed to do for myself became something that brought others joy too and that’s really cool to think about. The freedom, expression, & escapism I find in Bell’s is really special to me and I feel very lucky to share it with you.
